Alright this is my FIRST post EVER!!!
So I'm taking a class on "Job/Social Skills" in San Antonio, and Thursday's are 1/2 days (3hrs). Thursdays, we have a class called "Job Readiness" and so this afternoon was my interview. Well I opened my big, fat mouth and told my teacher "Hey, I have an interview with Cibolo Creek today at 3pm." That whole freakin 3hrs, I was put on the spotlight. And that's all we did. Mrs. Carolyn, the teacher, had me in front of the class practicing for my REAL interview later on. That was the LONGEST 3 HRS OF MY LIFE!!!
Came home and relaxed for like an hour.
So I left for the interview 20mins early. Only took 5-10mins to get there. I sat in the parking lot literally praying my heart out "Lord, PLEASE get my thru this!" and studying my notes I had taken from last night and this morning. So I walk in the beautiful building looking for this lady, named Rita! She's in CASUAL clothes (t-shirt and jeans) and I'm in a nice, button down, white dress shirt, a tie, and suite pants.
Interview:
1. Question- So, Jeffrey, tell me a little about yourself? Me- I begin by telling her I am hard worker, have some experience in Laundry (position I'm applying for), have completed a Basic Microsoft Office Online course while in school. She's lookin at my resume, and kinda interrupts me and says "I noticed you worked for University United Methodist Church in San Antonio." I tell her yes! "I worked there as an intern for a couple months until I went back to school in the fall." That's when we really start talkin. She tells me she attends service there. I'm like "Oh really?" I'm a member at that Church. I ask her "Which service to you go to?" Her "11:00. That's so cool! So do I! She gives me a tour of the building. It's huge, and like a maze. IF I get the job, I might get lost! lol So anyways... she takes to the laundry room. Those freakin' washer machines are HUGE! (Commercial) lol (I've never worked with commercial washers, so it was/is new to me) She showed me what a general room looks like for the residence. And so as she was walkin me out, she told me that she'll let me know via phone call HOPEFULLY sometime next week.
